The Lamas family’s world changed on the early morning of
October 21st, 2012.
Desmond Moses a neighbor set his house on fire at 4am and then armed
entered the house of Filimon and Gloria Lamas and their four small
children. Sadly Filimon died
shielding his children, while Gloria was shot in both legs and then escaped the
house, jumping a fence carrying her dying 4-year old. “Their efforts were certainly heroic,” says the Inglewood
police chief of the parents, who neighbors said were high school sweethearts
and devoted to their children.
The Lamas family is linked in many ways to the Good Stuff
family. We are all hurting for
them and to thank everyone that participated in the recent fundraiser we had at
the restaurants. We are happy to
report that we raised over $7500 for the family. This is great but the family is going to need so much more. Please keep them in your prayers.
Thanks to Peter at South Bay BMW, who hearing about our
efforts, generously donated one of the BMW Touring Bikes valued at $1750. This is an awesome aluminum frame
commuter bike that is tricked out.
100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Lamas family.
Tickets $5 or 5 for $20 and the drawing will be held Dec. 16th
Purchase in Hermosa, El Segundo and Redondo Good
Stuffs. The bike is on display in
Redondo.
